Meet LAMOU Co-founders  Ann F. Clark and Lena Georas

Ann F. Clark

"Aesthetics and beauty have been important to me ever since I was a child. It's why, as an architect in Chicago, I dedicated myself to making beautiful spaces for my clients, my community and my family. Now in Providence, RI, a world-class center of design, Lena and I are concentrating on furnishings that enrich our environments, empowering more people to fill their world with beautiful, affordable, and original furniture."

Ann is a graduate of Duke University (BA) and University of Illinois (March). She was a partner in an architecture firm in Chicago, Nicholas Clark Architects, for 17 years and then started her own firm in 2012 serving both Chicago and Rhode Island.  Ann has designed both residential and commercial projects, as well as custom furniture and textiles for clients. Her work has been featured in several publications. Ann designed a 320 bed hospital in post-earthquake Haiti for Partners in Health. She has also run political campaigns, and has taught architecture at ITT and RISD. Ann is also a painter.

Lena Georas

"After studying architecture in the U.S., I lived in Athens, Greece, where I immersed myself in designing spaces, furniture and objects, as well as teaching and painting. I believe everyone is creative, and that no one should be limited to off-the-shelf choices when it comes to something as personal as home design. That's why Ann and I started LAMOU."

Lena is a graduate of Brown University (BA) and the University of Pennsylvania. She lived in Greece for 20 years where she co-founded an architecture firm, and has worked on residential, commercial and landscape projects. Lena also co-ran a non-profit organization which received EU grants for post graduate education four years running. She established a furniture design company in Athens, with production in Istanbul, Turkey, and taught architecture in a private university for five years. She moved back to her native Rhode Island in 2013. Upon returning, Lena taught at RISD as adjunct, and established LAMOU with Ann Clark. In addition Lena is an avid painter.
